What Clients Say

★★★★★

I had a powerful experience working with Christian hypnosis sessions with Charles. What stood out most was how he kept Jesus at the centre of everything. It never felt like just a technique — it felt spiritually grounded and aligned with my faith.

The sessions helped me begin releasing trauma in a way that felt safe, guided, and meaningful. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, I felt supported both emotionally and spiritually. There was a strong sense of peace throughout the process, and I appreciated how Scripture and faith were naturally integrated.

If you're looking for something that combines healing with a Christ-centered approach, I would definitely recommend working with Charles.

I sought help because I was struggling with severe anxiety, and I found it to be very healing. As a believer, combining the word of God with hypnotherapy was very helpful for me. Very soothing and very relaxing.

I've been trying to cut down on drinking for years only to end up increasing this destructive habit each time I tried. Under Charles's gentle therapy I felt safe and completely under God's protection. The result has been astonishing — no desire for a drink, no yearnings, no cravings, nothing.

I decided to work with Charles after many years of struggles, and as a Christian not believing in hypnosis. But what Charles does is not like magic or evil — it is simply resetting your brain to its original functions. I have overcome life's biggest battles with his help. I am 65 and struggled for years. Now I am happy and dealing with life in the Christian manner.

Lacinda E. Long-term struggles, illness, trauma

Charles did fantastic work with me on my anxiety issues that were stemming from work. He really knows this healing modality very well. Hypnosis works. Hypnosis works when Charles does it!

During my second pregnancy I had an issue with my jaw. I was in a lot of pain. I could hardly open my mouth and eating was painful. I had a session with Charles. As soon as the session ended the pain was less. The pain went away soon after and has never come back.

I love Charles's influence and coaching for my teen son. He is a great mentor. My son is calmer. He seems more mature. What drew me was that he was a Christian and his coaching would reflect this. This was a huge factor for working with Charles.

Is hypnotherapy good for Christians?

A quiet room with an empty wooden armchair facing a tall window, sheer linen curtains catching warm afternoon light, and a side table holding a worn leather-bound book and a white teacup — the kind of place to sit with a hard question

It's the question most Christians who consider hypnotherapy end up asking — is hypnotherapy a sin? Is it against the Bible? Because most people don't understand how hypnosis works (spoiler: it's a perfectly normal brain state), there is a lot of caution around the subject. You read what one side says. Then the other. Maybe you pray about it. Maybe you ask someone you trust.

And here you are.

One side says it's not Christian — that we're surrendering control of our mind, dabbling in something mysterious. The more informed side says it's fine — the American Medical Association and the Catholic Church have both approved it for medical use as early as the 1950s, that Focus on the Family endorses it under Christian supervision, that nothing in the Bible forbids it.

That is because hypnotism is neither magical nor mysterious. It is a standard, practical state of the mind where you are quiet, focused, and resourceful. In this state the therapist uses suggestions that change deeply entrenched habits, patterns, and behaviours — setting you free from old patterns, renewed and ready.

Hypnotherapy is simply a tool. The real question isn't whether hypnotherapy is good. It's who you want working for you — what kind of therapy and approach you want for your life. What I offer you is a Christian Hypnotherapy practitioner faithful to God who has a great deal of experience in offering you the best possible therapy for your circumstances based on what God wants for your life.

In our sessions we discuss in detail what God wants for you in this season of your life and what is holding you back. That is our lodestone. There is a surprising amount of hidden depth to all our issues. The hypnotherapy works so well because we are always open to God's will for you in your life.

The faith I bring into the work is biblical, and threads throughout Christian hypnotherapy. It's the reason my clients get the best results.

You may have tried counseling, or talk therapy. Those are great to help you understand what's wrong. But understanding doesn't always shift what's actually happening. You may have tried willpower. That can be hard and exhausting. Anxiety, addiction, weight-management, trauma, fear — all the patterns and habits we have live one layer below our conscious wishes and desires.

And that lower layer is where hypnotherapy works. Because we deal with that part of you directly, it's much more comfortable and familiar to you than you might think — more on that just below.

How hypnotherapy works

A focused state your brain
and your faith already know.
A practitioner's consulting room: a linen sofa and a leather chair facing each other across a low wooden table with books and a candle

Hypnotherapy is one of the simpler things in the world. It is a structured way of doing something your brain already does on its own — slipping into a focused, relaxed state where it becomes more resourceful and open to new ideas. We enter that state every time a good book absorbs us for an hour. Every time a film pulls us in and the room around quiets down. Every time deep prayer or Christian meditation calms the mind to where the noise of the day fades into the background.

In a session, I guide you into that state, and then we get to work — introducing the suggestions and ideas you actually want to live by, in language and imagery that fits who you are. You stay fully aware the whole time. You can hear me. You can reject anything I say that doesn't sit right with you.

And you change — going back to the person God wants you to be.

Most clients notice a meaningful change after the first session. The total number depends on what we're working through — anxiety may take three sessions; deeper work like trauma or addiction usually takes more. We figure that out together on the discovery call.

My Approach

What you can expect when working with me

Romans 12:2 calls it the renewing of the mind. The work of replacing patterns that don't serve you with the ones God intends for your life.

I believe everyone, as a creation of God, has the capacity to flourish. Sometimes that capacity is buried under habits, fears, or wounds that no amount of trying can shift. The work we do together is finding what's underneath — and bringing God's light to it.

The conversations we have are about what's been hard, what you've tried, what God might be working in you right now. Then I guide you into a focused, restful state — most clients describe it as deeply relaxing and enjoyable — where we use imagery and suggestions drawn from Scripture that your mind responds to. Almost everyone leaves each session feeling lighter and closer to the true self they want to be.

You came here wanting something. The next step is to help your subconscious mind give it to you. And that's where Christian Hypnotherapy can really help.

I look forward to meeting you.

Why hypnotherapy works where talking sometimes doesn't

Talk therapy reaches the part of you that already knows what you "should" do. Hypnotherapy works one layer deeper, with the part of you that runs your habits, reactions, and beliefs without asking permission. That's where lasting change is built.

Frequently asked questions

What is Christian hypnotherapy?

Christian hypnotherapy is therapeutic hypnosis delivered by a Christian practitioner who is Christian first. Sessions typically begin with a detailed discussion about your needs and ideal outcomes, what might be underlying reasons we can deal with, and what God wants for you in this season. The hypnotherapy session itself drawns from Scripture rather than from generic affirmations.

Is hypnotherapy a sin for Christians?

Hypnotherapy is not inherently sinful. Focus on the Family states there is 'no reason to regard it as evil or dangerous in and of itself.' When practised by a Christian hypnotherapist who aligns the process with biblical principles, it can be a safe and effective therapeutic tool that honours your faith.

Will I lose control during hypnotherapy?

You remain aware and in control throughout the entire hypnotherapy session. You can accept or reject any suggestion, and you can open your eyes and end the session at any time. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process, not mind control.

What does the Bible say about hypnosis?

The Bible does not directly mention hypnosis as we know it today. However, Scripture contains many references to meditation, contemplation, and focused mental states. Christian hypnotherapy aligns with biblical principles by promoting renewal of the mind (Romans 12:2) and the fruit of the Spirit including self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

What conditions can Christian hypnotherapy help with?

Christian hypnotherapy can help with anxiety and panic attacks, depression, addictions (smoking, alcohol, gambling), chronic pain management, sleep issues, stress, trauma and PTSD, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and weight management. It addresses these issues while always respecting your Christian faith and values.

How is Christian hypnotherapy different from regular hypnotherapy?

Christian hypnotherapy integrates faith into the therapeutic process from the first conversation onward. The practitioner is Christian first; the approach and hypnotherapy itself are drawn from a Scriptural reference rather than from a generic or secular worldview. The key thread is that the practitioner and client discuss and seek guidance from what God wants for this season of life.

How many hypnotherapy sessions will I need?

It depends on what you're working through, but most clients see the most meaningful change over four to six sessions. The Renew package (3 sessions) suits a specific issue ready to be dealt with — sleep, work stress, social anxiety, or marital tension. The Restore package (5 sessions) suits deeper work — depression, anxiety disorder, grief, or trauma recovery. The Transform package (7 sessions) suits sustained change — habits, addictions, or weight management. Many clients also experience positive shifts after just the first session.

Can I do Christian hypnotherapy online?

Yes, Christian hypnotherapy sessions can be conducted effectively online via video call. This allows clients from anywhere around the world to access faith-based hypnotherapy services from the comfort of their own home.
